				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="l-submain wpb_row"><div class="l-submain-h g-html i-cf"><p>As we cannot use the combined drain on the site, we need to lodge a New Sewer Application to Urban Utilities.</p>
<p>Since the sewer is not located under the pavement &#8211; as it should be -, we need to hire a consultant. Fortunately BE Collective is on there preferred consultant list, so we sent them a quote request to do this job.</p>

<p>Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. We have just moved offices.</p>
<p>The QUU application process is a lengthy one, and is split into 4 phases. The required documentation and fees are summarized below:</p>
<p>Phase 1 – The Preliminary Application</p>
<p>Documents required include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Signed owner’s consent form</li>
<li>Preliminary design plans (Including indicative property connection type, size and location) produced and submitted by QUU Endorsed Engineering Consultant</li>
<li>Property Information Spreadsheet</li>
<li>(Optional) Survey Plan, DA Approved Plans and conditions, Hydraulic documentation (The more we provide, the faster we receive approval)</li>
</ul>
<p>Preliminary Application Fee = $564 per service. Once all fees and documentation are paid and submitted, it will take up to 20 business days to receive preliminary approval.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;</p>
<p>Phase 2 – Design and Construction Phase Approval</p>
<p>Documents required include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Design Package (Single PDF containing finalized plans with RPEQ sign-off, Design certificate) produced and submitted by QUU Endorsed Engineering Consultant</li>
<li>Pre-Construction Phase Job Plan, filled in by the contractor performing works</li>
</ul>
<p>Design and Construction Phase Fee per service = $564. Once all fees are paid and documentation are submitted, typically QUU will take up to 10 days to approve plans and issue a network access permit approval (And construction can begin)</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>Phase 3 – As-Constructed Package</p>
<p>Documents required include:</p>
<p>&#8211;  As-constructed produced and submitted by QUU Endorsed Engineering Consultant<br />
&#8211;  Completed and signed water meter installation form</p>
<p>&#8211;  Pipe-layer’s accreditation<br />
&#8211;  ADAC as-constructed survey documentation<br />
&#8211;  Test results, including pressure tests, bacteriological tests (As relevant)<br />
&#8211;  Product and Material certificates and structural certificates<br />
&#8211;  Easement agreements and other authorizations as necessary</p>
<p>An On-maintenance inspection by a certified RPEQ is required for QUU approval as well.</p>
<p>As-Constructed Fee per service: $450 – Assessment time varies</p>

<p>Phase 4 – End of Maintenance Package</p>
<p>Documents required include:</p>
<ul>
<li>End of Maintenance Period Inspection Report by QUU Endorsed Engineering Consultant</li>
</ul>
<p>It is possible On-Maintenance and one Off-Maintenance inspections by a certified RPEQ may not be required for QUU Maintenance Package Approval.</p>
<p>The End of Maintenance fee is project-specific.</p>

<p>The PlumbSMART application is $808, the normal Domestic Plumbing application is $810.</p>

<p><strong>PlumbSMART</strong><br />
Council’s PlumbSMART process streamlines the approval of domestic Class 1 plumbing applications. New domestic dwellings located on individual lots which have their own direct connections to Queensland Urban Utilities’ sewer and water supply networks are eligible to use this process.</p>
<p><strong>PlumbSMART cannot be used for properties that are connected by combined sanitary drains</strong>, community title schemes or have an on site wastewater treatment system.</p>
